Peerless Fabrications

introductions

Image of Stranger sitting while hugging a dog plushie.

My name is Peer, or Stranger. You probably already know that. I'm a person in their twenties and you can use any pronouns when talking about me. As of right now, I am an unemployed hobbyist artist who occasionally gets paid for making art.

It's not easy for me to introduce myself in a way that would feel definitive. The way I talk and carry myself changes from day to day, from person to person. Some may say I'm curious, others that I'm close-minded. One acquaintance could describe me as emotional, and another as cool. I do not have authority over how you, the viewer, perceive me, and I don't wish to have it either.

The only thing I can say about myself with certainty is that I am very passionate about my work. You probably found me through my digital art, but I don't limit myself to just that: I also work on Wikis, write amateur code, record shitty Youtube videos, and much more! I like to keep myself busy whenever I can and often get that "I could have been working right now" feeling that most others workaholics feel. If you are a Nosy Nancy, you can find out more about what I make through this website or my social media!

More on my identity

The aromantic flag. The asexual flag. The aplatonic flag. The loveless flag. The lesbian flag.

I'm aromantic, asexual, and aplatonic. I prefer not to call myself "aroace" and don't use the sunset aroace flag. As the result of my aspec-ness and neurodivergence, I feel a strong disconnect from the concept of "love", which is why I identify as loveless. I also like women.

I used to involve myself in aspec discourse on Tumblr, which is where I found out about these nicher labels. I don't go there anymore, although the perspective I gained from community discussions is valuable. All you need to know is that I'm aromantic as hell.

You might ask if it's okay to reach out to me considering I'm aplatonic. The answer is yes! I just don't feel chipper about others assuming we're friends just because we chat sometimes. If you want to be my friend, please tell me outright. And if you just want to talk - go ahead, we can be good acquaintances.

Fast facts

  • I am fine with most gendered terms, both masc and fem. The only exceptions are the word "dude" and the expression "you guys" in reference to a group of people. I have a personal grudge against these because they're widely considered gender-neutral (they're not).
  • I'm otherkin. I identify mostly as a mouse, but also relate to bats and lions. When it comes to otherworldly species, I see myself in all sorts of supernatural and mythological beings, but mostly imps/demons and angels.
  • ...I'm also plural. This is the main reason for my unstable self-image and inability to say anything concrete about myself without feeling like I'm lying. We all identify under the "Peer" umbrella, so we're all fine with being called that name. Stranger is the host's name.
  • I identify as a fujoshi and a himejoshi. Nowadays I prefer yuri and het ships to yaoi as I like it when pairings have at least one woman in them, but I've been a yaoi warrior for the majority of my life and the label of a fujo is important to me.
  • Native Russian speaker. I've been studying English since kindergarten and can speak it freely. I know Japanese at a lower-intermediate level.
